Week 11 Log
Welcome back everyone! We've got a couple of goodies to show you today alongside some nice tweaks to gameplay I'm sure everyone will appreciate.
A New (Not so Super) Superstar!
I think we've all gotten a little tired of seeing Fret so we're finally introducing Trish.
What you see here is one of Trish's violent outbursts where she wields her little shirt cannon and tries to attack our poor Clem. Shame on her and her magical twins! Just like with Fret don't let her too close and bonk Clem to death!
Your Soul is Ours
We never told you this but although Clem has an outgoing and cheerful personality she hides a dark secret, she's secretly known as the grim reaper! 🤯 (In her friend group...)
After defeating an enemy, Clem will be able to pick up their lost souls and place them in her pocket for however much time she wishes... or she could trade them away to the shady trader in the tour bus for some juicy upgrades! (Upgrades still a work in progress)
The Arrival of Power Chord!
It's time for Clem's first big challenge to appear, Power Chord. Mind you that's Power Ch - ord, not Power C - ord, get it right!
Once you've cleared the necessary areas, the boss room opens up allowing Clem to confront the level's boss. For this first area, your foe will be Power Chord.
I was on my last breath when I took this picture but here is a little preview of what he looks like in the game! We're still in the process of implementing him so do be a bit more patient. All we tell you from now is to be cautious of his affinity to lightning, so get ready to be rocked!
Bugs/Known Issues
- Player can dash through walls/doors (We have implemented invisible walls just outside of the visible walls to prevent unwarranted exploration however in areas after the first one, there are no invisible walls)
- Door has a chance to not allow player to progress (Temporary Solution: Step back and then retry)
- Main Menu button does not work in either pause or death screen
- In Second Area and beyond, enemies are clipping into the floor
- In Second Area and beyond, Player's primary fire (LMB) can pass through walls
- Special attack (R) range indicator is inconsistent with actual range
- Defeating Power Chord boss and going through door will softlock the game (No more content afterwards)
- Clem walk animations play regardless of whichever direction she's facing (Other directional transitions are still being worked on)
